The National Park Authority is developing a collection of walk cards to help you explore and enjoy the National Park. Each costs £1 is available through local Information Centres or by post.
Pen y Fan and Cribyn from Cwm Gwdi
This energetic 7.5 mile (12 km) walk climbs one of the lesser known, but most dramatic, approaches to the summit of the highest mountain in southern Britain, looking at the powerful natural forces which have shaped the landscape.
The Beacons Circuit
The Big One! An epic 11 mile (17.7 km) circuit of the main summits and ridges of the central Brecon Beacons in a spectacular day's walk, looking at how man has used the landscape from ancient times to the present day.
The Sugar Loaf from Abergavenny
A very pleasant 9 mile (14.5 km) walk to the summit of the Sugar Loaf, through woodland and across heath, exploring where human activity has left its mark on the landscape.
Llanfoist Wharf from Abergavenny
A gentle 4.5 mile (7 km) walk along the canal and old railway line discovering the fascinating past of these ancient transport routes.
Explore Llandovery
Enjoy this 1.5 mile walk around Llandovery - the small town that made a huge contribution to Welsh life.
Waterfall Country
Your guide to discovering the National Park’s greatest collection of waterfalls. This small area is truly one of the splendours of Wild Wales and amongst the most beautiful and popular parts of the National Park. Here the rivers Mellte, Hepste, Pyrddin and Nedd Fechan wind their way down deep, tree-lined gorges,over a series of dramatic waterfalls, before joining to form the River Neath. Take care! - some of the paths on the routes are steep and rough and can be muddy and slippery under foot.
The Rise and Fall of Penwyllt
This 4.5 mile walk explores the fascinating history of Penwyllt in the Cwm Tawe valley and the fascinating lives of the men and women who once lived there.
