Green Tourism
The Brecon Beacons has been the centre for the development of Green Tourism for several years. Through the COLLABOR8 project there is now an intensive programme of recruitment, advice and training so as to form a cluster of green tourism businesses using either the Green Dragon or Green Tourism Business Scheme certification.
Green Tourism Business Scheme (www.green-business.co.uk ) has been operating for 15 years and is now on contract to the NPA under the COLLABOR8 programme to deliver green certification to businesses over a two year programme.
Green Dragon is the environmental accreditation scheme for businesses in Wales and over 60 tourism businesses in the Brecon Beacons received the award.
The Brecon Beacons National Park Authority aims to work with and support tourism businesses that have either the Green Dragon or Grenen Tiourism Business Scheme award and are minimising their environmental impact.
